This year’s Sligo St. Patrick’s Festival is offering four days of fun-filled festivities for everyone. The highlight of the weekend, of course, is the St. Patrick’s Day parade on Sligo is gearing up for an unforgettable St. Patrick’s Festival, with exciting events and activities happening across the town. From football, walking tours to live music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this March! The excitement is building for St. Patrick’s Day, this Monday March 17th. Details of the parades in. The highlight of the weekend will be the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which returns under the theme of Queen Maeve, with over 750 participants bringing Celtic colour and creativity to the streets of Sligo. After all we have been through since March 2020, this is a great opportunity to mark a special day in our annual calendar of events for Sligo town on March 17 th. Once again, the St Patrick’s Festival committee are inviting all the terrific entries from over the years to put on their thinking caps and make this a very special parade for all Sligo Towns annual show piece for the St Patricks Weekend returns again to the town centre. The Sligo St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at midday on Mail Coach Road and winding its way through the city down Temple St, Wine St, Quay St, O’Connell St, Grattan St and finishing on Pearse Road. The Parade will start at 12pm on St Patricks Day on Mail Coach Rd, travelling around the town and finishing on Teeling St. The tour will cover historic and iconic buildings of Sligo town, each having its own story to tell.
